Sample 1

The person who is good at making people feel welcome at their home is my mother. My mother is in late adulthood, and she is a housewife. I realized this fact when I was in a hostel in some other city. I used to visit home and see my parents every month.

My mother used to open the door with a great smile. She used to cook my favourite meal, arrange my cupboard as I liked, and make my bed flawlessly. I also realized this when my friends came over to my house. They also told me that your mother is very loving and caring. She makes me feel welcome by talking to and caring for me.

How I feel about this person and how I think about my mother is that I have not seen a more powerful person than her. She inspires me every day to become a better person. Being a housewife takes work. Being a housewife means managing everybody’s emotions and making them feel comfortable and happy.

Even if a family member is having a bad day at work, they will return, and my mother will talk to them about their day. From her utmost potential, she will try to give solutions, and if not, she will try to be a good listener. I feel exceptional that I am her daughter. My mother is a person who is very good at making people feel welcome in their home.

She is a teacher by profession. She always likes to welcome people into her home. She always visits our house. She lives a short distance from my house. She shares a good bond with my mom. That’s why they are friends.

She makes a person feel like she is always welcome with a pleasant smile and joy. A person can see the happiness on her face whenever we visit their home. She has good cooking skills also. She likes to feed people. She also runs a small sweet shop through her home.

Apart from that, she is good at baking cakes. I always get a positive vibe from my aunt because of her pleasant smile.

Moreover, she has a good attitude. She is always happy and works as a stress buster for me. She always motivates me. Despite her old age, she has no wrinkles on her face. She is always pleased and encourages others to be satisfied in life. She always tells me not to take too much stress because it’s not good for our body.

People in the countryside ask others to visit their homes because they are more connected to the grassroots and often like socializing. 

5. Are tourist attractions in the countryside more popular than those in the cities? 

On both sides, the tourists are attracted equally. Because the tourists have a broad spectrum of interests, they are interested in looking at the most developed cities in the country. Also, they are equally interested in visiting the traditional streets of the country. 

6. What facilities are there in the tourist attractions in your country? 

 There are many facilities when it comes to tourist attractions in our country. Certain trains are built in a particular manner to deliver that specific city’s authentic taste and culture. For example, there is a train which runs in Rajasthan. It has all the amenities and the vibe of the train and the whole infrastructure, the furniture, the walls, the colour of that, and the paintings of the train, which show the culture and depict the culture of Rajasthan. Similarly, many other transport facilities like air, roadways, and trains exist. 

7. How do you greet guests when they arrive at your home? 

Whenever guests arrive at our home, I offer them a good drink. It gives them a refreshment. After that, we welcome them with a smile. We ask them to sit. After that, we offer them coffee and tea. 

8. What are some common gestures to make guests feel welcome?

 A person should give a decent smile to the person they are welcoming. It provides the feeling that the person is happy to see him. Apart from that, the person should offer them something, whether cold or warm. The guest might be coming from far away. For that reason, you need to show him some good manners. 

 9. How do you offer refreshments to your guests?

 I offer them refreshments based on their requirements. Some people in my circle are vegetarians; some are non-vegetarians. I do a bit of research before providing refreshments. 

10. What are some polite ways to engage guests in conversation? 

There are a lot of techniques by which we can involve a person in our conversation. First of all, whatever they say, repeat that. The person himself tries to talk more because it shows that you are interested in their conversation. That’s the only way we can engage them in our discussion. 

11. What should you do if your guests have specific dietary restrictions?

 We have to take all into account before offering something. Some people are allergic to some foods; some are vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Before that, we have to ask their requirements and what they need before offering something to them. 

12. What are some simple ways to entertain guests while they are visiting? 

There are specific ways by which we can engage our guests. First of all, together we can watch movies and games. Games are the most popular in my country. People enjoy playing games whenever they visit other people’s houses.
