Sample Answer

Although I have had many shopping experiences, one is special and worth mentioning. It happened about four years back when a new supermarket was opened in our city, and they invited all the city residents to their opening, and I went there. The scene over there was amazing.

There were separate counters for every item, and the best part was that that day, they had a food festival going on inside, so there were various frozen snacks that they were serving free of cost.

Apart from that there were amazing deals and huge discounts. I went there with a budget of about Rs. 5000, but when I ended my shopping trip, I realized I had spent around Rs. 25 000. The basic reason was that the ambiance was nice, and their sales team was excellent. A good thing was a separate cafeteria inside the supermarket where the customers could sit and relax. They played light music in the background, which was also a soothing experience.

So, all in all, I enjoyed it a lot, and I bought many things. I bought a lot of clothes for myself. I purchased groceries and vegetables also. Apart from that, I got a mobile phone at a huge discount so I also bought it. So overall, it was a tremendous experience and a good time over there will remain etched in my memories.

I usually don’t enjoy shopping. Because I typically don’t shop much. It’s my parents who do it for me. So shopping is not one enjoyable activity most often occurring in my life. 

Do you prefer to go shopping alone or with someone?

 I’ve always gone shopping with others. My parents always take me, or I bring a friend. 

Do you think people enjoy shopping or is it boring to them?

 In general, people enjoy shopping and take time out of their busy schedules to go and shop. For some people, shopping is like therapy. 

Why do you think people consider shopping to be boring? 

There can be many factors that cause shopping to be boring. First, if the shop or the place they must go to buy something is far from the shop or the place they must go to buy something. If they go shopping, they buy unnecessary stuff by indulging in excessive purchasing. So, many people find it boring.

 Why do many people shop in big malls and only a few go to small shops? 

Many people go to big malls because the products are of good quality. And the customer service is also very pleasing. They would have to wander a lot in small shops for one product. And that also sometimes needs to provide the surety for the quality. And so, people would prefer big malls over small shops. 

Do you think buying unnecessary things or gadgets can bring happiness?

 Buying unnecessary products or gadgets can bring happiness to that particular moment. But after that, if somebody looks at the unnecessary stuff, that leads to consumerism. I am not happy with that exact product.
