IELTS Speaking Part 1:Sharing
1.Did you share anything with others recently?
Yes, I shared my water bottle with others at the gym this morning.
2. Did your parents teach you to share when you were a child?
Yes, my parents and teachers taught me to share my belongings with others.
3. What things do you like to share with others?
Sharing can be worldly things and thoughts regarding knowledge and words. In my case, I share my knowledge and ideas with others.
4. What kinds of things are not suitable for sharing?
Many times, there are specific contraindications for certain people. For example, if a person has diabetes, I would mind sharing my sweet piece with that person. Another example is if a person is already in grief, I would not go to that person and share my bad experiences.
5. What does sharing mean to you personally?
Sharing means helping others to strengthen your relationship and getting satisfaction by helping others.
6. Can you describe a time when sharing positively impacted your life or someone else’s?
It was two years back, and my friend was having a problem doing his official work because he didn’t have a laptop, so he was about to lose his job. I took my computer with him, which helped him save his career and earn money during a turbulent time. The relationship I had with him enhanced considerably.
7. How do you think sharing promotes a sense of community?
Sharing promotes a sense of community because when you share your things with others, others also reciprocate, and due to that, the gap you have with your near and dear ones bridges leading to a society where people support each other.
8.In what ways can sharing contribute to building trust among individuals or groups?
The trust between people thrives primarily in interactions. When you share things at that time, you get a chance to interact a lot, and that feeling of providing support and getting assistance in return leads to a good community between people.
9. What role does empathy play in the act of sharing?
Empathy plays a stellar role in the act of sharing because when you empathize with others, you understand them in a better way, and that leads to better understanding and ultimately leads to a good environment,
10. How do you differentiate between sharing out of obligation versus sharing out of genuine generosity?
Sharing out of obligation happens when you genuinely do not want to help another person, but the circumstances are like you have to help them out of compulsion. Genuine generosity is when the feeling comes from inside, and you think you must help the other person.
11. How can parents encourage sharing behaviour in their children?
It is a well-known fact that children tend to follow the examples set by their parents rather than the advice, so to encourage the children to share things with others, the parents must do the same by helping others by sharing the things at their disposal. This attitude improves the mindset of the children considerably and sets the right precedent in front of them, and they also follow in their parent’s footsteps to support others.
12. What are some situations where sharing might not be appropriate or advisable?
In certain situations, people struggle. During that time, coming out of the unfortunate situation is the need of the hour. You need to work on your problems rather than helping others in such a situation.
