IELTS Speaking Part 1:Daily Routine

1.Can you walk us through your typical morning routine?

I generally wake up at 8 am. After that, I first speak a small prayer, and then I go and meet my parents. I talk to them for a while. Usually, my father and mother wake up before me. They wake up around 7 am. By the time I wake up, they are already together. So, I go and sit with them. After getting freshened up, I return and prepare for the gym. About 9 o’clock, I go to the gym. And in about 2 or 2. 5 hours, I return from the gym. By that time, it is approximately 11:30 or 12 midday. Then, after that, I take a shower and proceed to lunch.

 2. How do you prioritize tasks in your daily schedule? 

I prioritize tasks according to the need. For example, I must sometimes take my mother to a doctor’s appointment. So, I schedule my gym for that. I prioritize things just by checking up on my schedule. I got a lot of help from my parents. They help me a lot by doing the essential tasks throughout the day. 

3. What strategies do you use to stay organized throughout the day?

 I use a couple of strategies to stay organized throughout the day. First, I have maintained a good sleep and wake cycle. So, I get a good 7 hours of sleep and wake up at 8 am. After that, the second strategy would be to walk, run, or do any physical activity in the morning. It helps me to stay energized throughout the day. One more strategy I follow is to avoid taking a nap in between. I prefer sleeping at night. 

4. How do you manage your time effectively to accomplish your daily goals? 

I work my time effectively by not wasting time. Sometimes, I take my time to relax. But mostly, the relaxation time is after I complete my daily tasks. 

5. What role does exercise play in your daily routine? 

Exercise plays a very vital role in my daily routine. My day starts with exercise, and if, for some reason, I cannot exercise in the morning, then I make sure that I do any physical activity, be it cycling, running, walking, or going to the gym in the evening. 

6. Do any rituals or habits help you stay focused and productive? 

I have cultivated this habit of sleeping early and waking up at 8. I take seven hours of good sleep. And secondly, one more habit I have developed is staying active in sports. 

7. How do you unwind and relax after a busy day? 

After a busy day, I prefer spending some time with my family. I mostly talk to my mother about my day, which makes half of my brain very relaxed. And after that, I listen to good music even if I still think I need to relax more. 

8. Are there any adjustments you have made to your daily routine recently? 

Yes, I have made a reasonable adjustment to my daily routine. Before this, I used to go to college, where I was doing an internship. So, in an internship, we have to work three shifts: morning, evening, and night shifts. So, in the last days of college, I was continuously doing night shifts, and I was used to waking up in the night and sleeping in the day. But after coming home, I had to change my sleep schedule slightly day by day. I shifted my sleeping time tonight. 

9. How do you ensure you get enough rest and sleep each night? 

I work out a lot and tire myself by the end of the day. That makes me get a good sleep. 

10. What aspects of your daily routine do you find most fulfilling and why? 

So, the most critical aspect of my day is working out, and I ensure I do that daily. And it gives me a feeling of satisfaction and contentment. I enjoy working out because it makes me feel energized throughout the day and more active so that I can do the rest of the activities efficiently.
