IELTS Speaking Part 1:Crowded place

1.What places do you think are often crowded?

Most places meant for public utilization are mostly crowded; prime examples are railway stations and malls.

2. When was the last time you were in a crowded place?

Yesterday, I was in a crowded place. I went to the hospital to see my grandmother. The hospital was pretty packed.

3. How do you feel when you are in a crowded place?

For me, a crowded place has never been a problem. So I feel okay. The same is true in a regular or less crowded place.

4. Do you like going to crowded places?

Yes, I mostly like being in a crowded place. A place where it’s full of people. I enjoy watching people do their tasks because I want to observe and interact with people.

5. Do people like to go to crowded places?

I don’t think so. Many people prefer to avoid going to crowded places. Because whenever an individual is around people, most people deal with social anxiety. And I have heard from many people that they enjoy a less crowded place. And they want to be there. Okay, sharing. Now, the next topic is sharing.

6. What safety precautions should individuals take when travelling in a crowded place?

When travelling in a crowded place, people should check their luggage. Their luggage should be safe and secure with them. Along with the luggage, they should also be aware of their proximity and hold their children’s hands so they don’t get lost in the crowd.

7. How can the event organizers effectively manage the crowd so everyone feels safe and can enjoy themselves?

Event organizers can maintain or arrange the crowd effectively by pre-deciding the seating arrangement, such as where the particular person is supposed to be seated or where the specific crowd is gathered to be standing. If the setting is so that everybody needs to stand throughout the event, the crowd can be divided into sections, and the sections can be based on the types of people or a first-come-first-serve basis. Other than that, if there is a setting where seating arrangement is present, every seat or tag can be provided, whether the seat is for a reserved section or the general population.

8. How do you stay calm and composed in crowded environments?

A person can stay calm and composed in a crowded environment. If the person is not comfortable in that environment, they can step back and come out to the corner of the crowd, or if the noise is the problem, they can plug in the earphones and listen to music while in the crowd.

9. What can urban planners do to design public spaces in a way that can accommodate large crowds?

Before building the plan, the planners need to estimate the number of people, how many people will visit that place in a day, and the strength of people in that area at a particular hour. Accordingly, the planner can arrange the appropriate number of seating arrangements. If it’s not possible, the area is tiny, and seats cannot be allocated for such a high number of people, then the planner can also divide that area into sections where people can stand and enjoy their time.

10. What parents can do to keep their children safe in crowded places? Parents can teach them how to react, behave in a crowd, and obey their commands. Parents can always hold their child’s hand while being in a crowd so that they don’t get lost.

11. How can technology help in crowd management?

Technology is already helping a lot in crowd management. There is an example of maps, Google Maps, where if a specific location is searched and the place is already crowded, the Google Map always tells you another path of reaching that place and tells you the estimated time till when you will get to that place because that street or the road is very crowded.

 12. What impact does overcrowding have on the environment?

Overcrowding hurts the environment because overcrowding can lead to much noise pollution. Also, it can lead to unhygienic and dirty places.

13. How can individuals contribute to maintaining calm and composure in crowded places?

There can be a facility of public announcement for everybody to listen and cooperate. There can be written instructions for people. If the person is not able to read, Braille should also be there.
