Sample

An occasion when someone or something made noise was back in last year at the time of Christmas. So, Christmas is a festival celebrated in our college on a colossal scale, and many things are organized in December.

Unfortunately, we had our university exams that week, and a day before the event, our exam was scheduled. Our whole batch studied on the ground floor, where our hostel and rooms are. Just next to that hostel building is a visiting room where the college band was practicing.

They were making a tremendous amount of noise. Although the noise was very musical, it was still disturbing because we had our exam the next day. My friends and I all went to the choir, the band, and the person leading the band. We talked to her, we told her about our exams, and she shifted her instruments and the team to the next room.

Although the noise level decreased, it was less that we could concentrate on the studies. So, we asked them to reduce their practice time in that room. So, they were supposed to practice till 5 pm on our request. The concerned person considered our request, and she changed the 5 pm time to 3 pm.

After that, we were able to study after 3 pm, and I felt that not being able to learn just one day before the exam made me think in a certain way that I had a feeling of regret that I could have studied the remaining chapter before and at that time I thought time is very precious and anything can happen in between.

Follow-ups

1.Is noise pollution severe in India?

Yes, at times, noise pollution is severe. As the elections are approaching for the central government, there are many rallies, and people are coming on the road, playing their songs at high volume, creating very much noise pollution.

2.Do you like to live in a noisy place?

No, I don’t enjoy being in a noisy place because I cannot concentrate on my work if there is noise around me. Secondly, noise, in some way or another, always triggers my headache.

3.Do you like to go to noisy places?

I wouldn’t say I like to go to a noisy place unless and until it’s a concert.

4.Where can you hear a loud noise?

We can listen to a loud noise in any banquet hall or somewhere where a lot of crowds are gathered for any celebration or like I said, any political party rally.

5.Do you think there is more noise in people’s lives today than in the past? Yes, there is more noise today than in the past. In the past, people used to be happy by being at peace and by being at home. Nowadays, everybody is stepping out of their home, and there is a lot of traffic on the roads, leading to noise pollution.

6.Do you think the cities will become more noisier in the future?

Yes, cities will become more noisier in the future. There can be many reasons. First, the primary reason is that as the population increases, the number of people rises, increasing the noise. And secondly, these days everybody is so busy in their lives that they manage to take time out for their leisure activities. Primarily unlike in past times, people these days go out for fun activities, and they roam around the city. They don’t go to picnics as people used to go. Now they prefer going to clubs or concerts, which are loud places.
