So, a job I would not like to do in the future is as a therapist or a psychiatrist. A therapist or a psychiatrist is a person who deals with people who have mental health issues, and these days, they are also known as counselors, life coaches, or therapists. I heard about it in college, and even before that, I had a good experience in the psychiatric ward at our hospital in college. So, I have done morning and evening shifts there. I have completed 60 hours working as a therapist and a psychiatric nurse. I don’t want to pursue this profession, or I don’t want to become a therapist in the future. It is very draining. The person who aspires to become a therapist needs to be mentally very strong and has to have good control over their own emotions where you cannot mix up your current mood and feelings with the person whom you are counselling. So, it is a mind game, and people are doing a great job in this profession and earning a good amount of money because they deserve it. I feel that the job is very important. There is a need for therapists and psychiatrists in this world because mental health is not a new issue, although it has gained popularity recently. But it has always existed in society, and people have been facing problems like bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and various other mental health issues like PTSD and OCD. So, people need somebody to talk with, and the person who is talking to them as a counsellor is a person who keeps their ideas, thoughts, and emotions aside and they are trained that way to deal with all the stress and all the kinds of aggressive behaviour by the patients. I feel that therapists and psychiatrists are very important, and it is a very important profession, but it is not a profession for everyone. It can only be adapted and got into by becoming a person whose intellect is very strong and extraordinary.

Job dissatisfaction can also be a result of a disturbed work-life balance. Have you ever experienced a situation where you initially enjoyed a task but later grew to dislike it? Yes, I experienced this in my final year of college when I became the head of the student council. Initially, I enjoyed it very much. I was doing everything I could. I was talking to all the students. I was acting as a bridge between the administration and the student body. It was very. I was enjoying it at the start, but as my time approached my exams, I needed clarification that I was unprepared for them because of these responsibilities. It was mentally draining at that particular moment because I had to focus on myself, and I kept a few duties. I left them to my juniors, but there was always this feeling of dissatisfaction because I like doing things on my own, but that was when, for a short period, I didn’t like being in that post.
How do you think job dissatisfaction can affect a person’s well-being and mental health?
Job is a part of lifestyle and is a part of everyday routine in a particular person, and if that person does not like the job and is dissatisfied, it can lead to mental health issues. Is it better for someone to stay in a job they dislike for stability and security?

Employers can play a huge role in getting the people or their employees to enjoy the job and make the business profit. They can organize small events and give breaks to their employees. The employer should provide people with enough holidays and leave. Can you share any personal experiences or stories of individuals who successfully transitioned from a job they disliked to a more fulfilling career path?
I know a senior from my college, and she graduated from college when I stepped into the first year of college. Although we spent very little time together, we became very good friends. We have been in touch for so many years, and after so many years, she has been practising nursing in some other country. She is a very good musician, and she started to follow her passion along with the job. She used to compose small tunes and songs but got a break. After five or six years of hard work, she recently released her music, and we are all very proud of her.
Do you believe societal expectations or pressure affect people staying in the jobs they dislike?
Society pressure is real, and people judge others for what they do and where they work. There can be instances where people want to enjoy other things apart from work, but society might judge them. People should not think about society, but they should follow their passion. If people follow their passion, they can be profitable in that particular industry and earn a good amount of money in their love because they will work with their heart.
